• The Chilean terroir meets the Bordeaux wine making know how: Escudo Rojo is produced by Baron Philippe de Rothschild (Escudo Rojo is the Spanish translation of « Rothschild »). • The terroir comes from the "Valle de Colchagua", in the central part of Chile 200 km south of Santiago. The vineyard has a Mediterranean climate particularly well-suited to the development of the Carmenere grape. • Rothschild seal of quality : strong worldwide appeal and premium positioning.
